Ghollywood pardons Yvonne Nelson

There are strong indications that sensational actress, Yvonne Nelson, (who was banned in November last year from featuring in any movie in Ghana by that country’s Film Regulatory Council) may have been pardoned. She was banned following complains of rudeness, disrespect raised against her by one of the country’s movie producers, Abdul Sallam Mumuni, CEO of Venus Films Productions towards fellow actresses, producers and crew members on location and even when off-camera. HVP learnt that the embattled actress may have been pardoned by the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG). She was banned by the Film Producers Association, Distributors Association, Retailers and Marketers, (FIPAG). Although the film producers, according to our source, have not released any official statement to that effect yet, it was gathered that the P.R.O of the Association, informed one of their members on phone that the official statement will be made public very soon. However, another side of the story has it that the regulatory council is yet to accept the actress’ apology. Yvonne who initially refused to accept her mistakes, was said to have officially apologised to the CEO of Venus Films Productions and the Film Regulatory Council. She’s spent months without movie roles. “We’ve had several meetings on Yvonne’s issue and a lot of mportant people in the movie industry have pleaded on her behalf. And after that we’d go public with the communique. But until then, her ban stands” the PRO of the Film Regulatory Council (FRC) was quoted as saying. The final decision on her matter was taken on Thursday while we were preparing to rest our pages. Meanwhile, CEO of Venus Film who is in the center of Yvonne’s ban,Sallam , according to reports, has officially forgiven Yvonne Nelson. As a matter of fact, as soon as the film producers lift her ban, Sallam hopes to put the sexy actress on the set of his new movie titled ”The Assassins”.
